Curriculum Development Specialist
Job Description:
The responsibilities for this position include:
Apply communication and problem-solving skills to actively assist the business on issues related to the design, development, deployment of Adult Learning.
Work closely with subject matter experts, when applicable, to deliver training solutions that meets the defined business requirements.
Educate and trains Instructors on guidelines or processes as needed and develop training content (webinars, documents, videos) and execute online and onsite training.
Contribute to the vision and execution of micro-learning adoption across the organization.
PowerPoint and Excel data tracking.
Track and manage Multiple projects for training department.
Provide technical guidance, training, and oversight to trainers on the development and delivery of training material.
Develop procedures and best practices to ensure that processes are followed and fosters and initiates continuous process improvement.
Work closely with salary trainers to monitor processes and skills metrics for trades training.
Will be expected to train material to employees.
Required/Preferred Education/Training:
High School Graduate or GED required.
Bachelors degree in Adult Education preferred.
PDP Graduate or graduate of BIW Apprentice program.
Lean Sigma Trained.
Required/Preferred
Experience:
Combination of education and training experience preferred.
Skills in Sharepoint preferred.
Familiarity with Adobe Captivate, Articulate, or Camtasia.
Previous experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS.
) Excellent administrative skills, interpersonal skills, communication skills, and problem solving/decision making skills required.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage conflict and multiple priorities required.
Minimum of three years in adult education and curriculum creation required.
Strong skill of Microsoft Office, (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) required.
Strong Organizational and communication skills, both written and oral required.
