Job Description Review new hull, mechanical, and electrical equipment manufacturer's technical manuals to ensure the content is accurate and adequate for use by BIW Manufacturing and US Navy personnel to safely operate and maintain the shipboard equipment.
Develop revisions to existing NAVSEA hull, mechanical, and electrical ship systems and equipment technical manuals and Ships Information Books to reflect approved new construction and Planning Yard ship changes.
Act as the Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) and primary liaison between BIW's equipment suppliers and the Navy Technical Manual customers for assigned manuals.
Review ship changes to identify impact to assigned manuals.
Required/Preferred Education/Training High School Diploma / GED required.
Required/Preferred ExperienceTechnican II - 1-3 years' experienceTechnician III - 3-5 years' experience Military, merchant marine, or commercial shipbuilding experience in the operation and maintenance of shipboard hull, mechanical, and electrical systems and equipment, or prior technical manual development experience with a heavy commercial or industrial equipment manufacturer is required.
Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and interpret equipment specifications, drawings, system diagrams, schematics, and other technical documentation required.
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of personal computers and associated software, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel is required.
Prior experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro is highly desirable.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, including ability to independently develop and implement solutions to technical issues, required.
Prior experience with the use and/or development of US Navy hull, mechanical, and electrical technical manuals is preferred.
Must be able to effectively manage multiple competing priorities.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team is required.
Ability to obtain a DoD SECRET clearance required.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
