Thornton Oaks Maine's best Retirement Community is looking for a Business Office Manager.
The ideal candidate will oversee a broad range of financial, professional, and administrative duties.
This position requires a minimum of two years of experience (preferably five
years) in finances as well as supervisory experience.
The Business Office Manager leads, guides, and supervises two direct reports.
Do you love working with numbers as well as people? This position works with our residents regarding bills, closings of apartments and cottages, as well as supporting other departments regarding budgets.
The Manager also monitors the status of our replacement reserve.
You would be responsible for the monthly financials, the annual and capital budget, and monitoring the day to day operations of the office.
You will need to be able to record payments and maintain accounts receivable in QuickBooks as well as learn the MaineHealth accounting system.
This position will deliver reports/recommendations regarding accounting functions and budgets on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
You are a back-up to all departments regarding payroll and the occasional HR question.
This position is also responsible for maintaining a positive working relationship with our MaineHealth partners.
The business manager is an integral part of our leadership team and will participate in many functions throughout the year as well as be the staff liaison on designated committees.
The position reports to the Executive Director.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
